Kid with Asthma

Much to the initial shock, surprise and dismay of Dia and myself, Vin has been diagnosed as an asthmatic. While we trust that 'many have gone before us' by way of kids with asthma this is our first trip. I am now certain that every parent deals with their own sense of surprise and dismay at the uncontrollable.

For us, this little discovery has brought more knowledge of the shortcoming of mankind and our complete dependence on the fact that 'all things work together for God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose,' Romans 8:28. And we believe that through little surprises such as a kid w/ asthma God graciously reveals more of our lacking and dependence on Him.

We also depend on the encouragement and support of family and friends that God has put in our lives... so, encourage away (in the comment section)!

Hey Angellos!

I'm so thankful to have friends like you who in the midst of adversity can recognize God's graciousness. I will pray that your faith would be strengthened during this time and that God would continue to give you and the doctor's wisdom with how to handle Vin's diagnosis.

I love you guys! Please give that lil' guys smooches from his auntie tum!

Hey there, Gellos. Sure do love you all. Glad to know you're getting some answers as to why Vin's breathing has been so "vocal," shall we say. Next time he visits, we'll clink our inhalers! [I'm asthmatic, too, only haven't used my inhaler in years, actually, now that it's under control.] We'll be praying that he (and you) will find relief and healing very soon.
HUGE hugs,
Momma/PaGums

Hey guys,
It's hard for me to find the words to encourage you with Vin's diagnosis, because as a Mommy I'm just imagining the things that run through your head. I know you three are strong and will work through this and it will get better. I will keep you in our prayers. Love Lori

Ah yes, how much do we love our children. I firmly believe that God allows us to have children so that we may experience a fraction of His great love for us. Praying that you make wise choices for lil Vin.

sorry to hear the news. We know it's 'tricky' knowing how to respond when things don't turn out like you want them to, but that's where faith becomes real.
let us know if we can do anything
