"Mom, look at that sprinkler!!!!"
Checking it out first.
Everyone is tired on the walk home.
I'm happy to say that so far this week I've been feeling pretty well. In fact, today was the best I've felt since June. And I enjoyed every minute of it.
This morning I took the boys outside for some water fun in the backyard. I blew up a little baby pool we had from when Vin was a baby and the boys had a blast in it. When I was first filling up the pool I had to leave the boys in the backyard and run around to the side of the house to turn the hose on. I left Luca sitting on the outdoor blanket playing with his toys and Vin was playing with his lawnmower. They both looked so content and peaceful - what could happen in the minute or so I was gone, right? Well, when I made it back to the backyard Luca was flat on his back in the grass getting a full blast of hose in the face from his brother. It's an image I think I will never forget. He was soaked from head to toe so apparently Vin had been blasting him for a few seconds or more. But after Luca caught his breath and coughed up some water he started laughing. He is one tough baby. And I think someday very soon he's going to start giving Vinnie a run for his money.
In fact, since my last post Luca has started crawling. And that boy is fearless and tenacious. He has already learned how to crawl over to the TV stand and shut the doors which makes Vin very upset since he only does it while Vin is watching a video. I know this sounds crazy but I swear he does it because he gets a reaction out of Vin. If you saw it I bet you would think the same. I mean he crawls right over to the door, shuts it, sits down and turns his head to look right at Vin.
Anyway, tonight our town had a block party type of thing with music, food and stuff for the kiddos. Mom, Dad, and I walked down with the boys and we had such a lovely evening (Jason had a business trip to St. Louis so sadly he missed out). Vin had fun checking out the very cool fire trucks, ambulances and police cars on display and running through the gigantic sprinkler the fireman had out.
