Moving and such a big kid!

Wasn't it just a year ago I was posting about us moving? Yep, and we are doing it again this month. This will be move number 13 for the angellos in just 11 years. Someday we'll settle down.

We are still going to be renting since we are not sure yet about our long term commitment to living in Pittsburgh but the house we found is perfect. It's a standalone 3 bedroom, 1 bath brick home in a quiet family neighborhood. It has a deck and a backyard for Vinnie and Anthony (or other name since we are wavering on Anthony) to play in. It also has a nice sized basement with an area the previous residents made into a guest bedroom which will be nice when we have visitors. It's even a closer walk to the train for Jason .3 miles one way instead of his current .8 mile walk which can be long in the winter or rain - not that he complains. I attached some pictures of the house that the current residents took.

Living room. The room off to the right the current residents made into a playroom for their two boys. We are going to do the same. It will be nice for the kiddos to have their own place to play in and destroy.

Vin and I have been trying to enjoy the pool as much as we can before we move later this month. I wish I had a picture of him swimming but both hands are needed to make sure he doesn't try to drown himself

He still can't stand the sun shining in his eyes. Fortunately, for him we don't have very many sunny days here in Pittsburgh.

Jason's work gave us tickets to the symphony so we made a night of it. One of our friends, Cory (Zoey's mom) watched Vinnie for the night and we hit the town. It was very refreshing.

Vin Feeding Himself!

So I handed Vin a spoon on Thursday and much to my surprise instead of the normal disastrous mess he actually started feeding himself!! However, by far my favorite part of this video is how he tries to repeat back when I say to him "Big kid, all on your own".

Property Defacement and Learning to Cleanup

So while I was cleaning up from dinner I gave Vin his crayons to play with. He decided to color the kitchen floor and dining room wall. I was surprised he was able to color the kitchen floor without me noticing since our kitchen is tiny and I was in it but I guess I was engrossed in dishes. As expected the crayon came off the floor but the wall still bares the mark of his artistic expressions.

In other news, he is also now completely infatuated with our swivel sweeper. Last night he swept the floor until the battery died at which time he threw the most fantastic tantrum. Guess he was having fun. He actually did a decent job because the floor looked great afterwards.

Philadelphia Zoo with the Cousins

We arrived in Philadelphia early Thursday morning - just in time to enjoy a zoo day with the cousins and kiddos.

Chasing the geese. I kept trying to tell him that they would bite but he would not be dissuaded. Finally, the poor things found refuge in these trees. If you look hard you can see them hiding.







I love this picture because while no one was paying attention Matthew and Ariel are climbing into the exhibit. And what am I doing about it? Taking a picture, of course.

Sorry, for the delay in this post. We just got back from a six day trip to NJ. Anyway, we had our ultrasound before we left last Wednesday and saw that Vin is going to have a little brother!!

I couldn't believe it because I was sure it was a girl. WRONG! Guess those motherly intuitions are weak with this gal. To be honest, we were both taken back at first because our hearts were so set on having a girl but we are now quite excited about having a boy. I can't wait to see he and Vin wrestling around on the floor and creating all kinds of havoc.

The baby looked great - nice and cozy in there. Oh, and I think we are set on the name Anthony.
