Valentines Day 2010

Though normally we Angellos shun Valentines Day this year we celebrated with the Robles. We spent Saturday night at their place, hung out and let the kids play all day Sunday and then had a lovely dinner at Nunzios Sunday night.

Chris and Jenn gave us a tour of Melton's new facility which we hadn't seen yet.

Vin making his first V-Day cards for his classmates. For the special occasion I let him use my paints and brushes, which he has been longing to use. Sadly, my camera met an untimely death before I could get a picture of the finished project.

Vin Turns 3!

For Vin's birthday this year Jason took off work and we had a wonderful day. We went into Vin's school (oh, i've been so far behind on blogging i haven't posted that we started him in a part-time preschool a few weeks ago) for the Sun Ceremony and pizza lunch.

Doing the Sun Ceremony at school. The birthday kid holding the earth walks around the "sun" once for each year until they reach their age, while the other children sing the Sun song. After each rotation we stopped and said what he had done in that particular year of life. The kids in his class LOVE this ceremony. And because of this ceremony they do for birthdays all the kids in his class knows that the earth goes around the sun in 365 days and that is one year.
